Right now, we have 154,365,000 people in the civilian labor force; that is, either people working or looking for work. The highest number of people in the civilian work force EVER has been 154,900,000 in May 2009.

Or are you talking about the number of people employed? Actually, the slowest post-recession recovery in recent American history, based on number of jobs, was that under George Bush.

When you count net jobs created, in unadjusted numbers as I specify, we have 1,412,000 more jobs than when Obama was inaugurated. If you are going to contest my numbers, please show your sources. Check my blog post on "How Many Jobs Has Obama Created or Lost?"

And, considering the economy was on the brink of collapse in late 2008 (Did you forget that the banks and the auto industry was just about gone back then?), it is quite amazing that we managed to get out of this recession as quickly as we did. Astounding, actually. God only knows how bad things would have gotten if we had McCain and the stupid Palin woman in office. Please don't try to make a case that things would have been much better under those two.Middle Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441441493867436577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5912833783359356343.post-7377692164658157052012-05-04T18:48:13.067-05:002012-05-04T18:48:13.067-05:00What a crock. This is probably the slowest post-recession recovery in US history. The way people keep insisting Obama shouldn't shoulder the blame for an unemployment rate that has been over 8% FOR HIS ENTIRE TERM IN OFFICE is pathetic. Moreover, the claims that over 1 million more people have jobs under Obama is simply wrong. When you count the net jobs "created", it is still close to 1 million in the hole.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
